There are beautiful views of the Wheeler Peak country along the way. At an elevation of more than 10,500, Gallegos Peak also provides a spectacular view of Jicarita Peak and the Pecos Wilderness. In the summer months this trail can be used for ATV's, motorcycle, mountain biking and hiking.
